Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website or web app. They allow the site to remember information about your visit and improve your experience over time. This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies we use in the App, why we use them, and how you can control them.

Strictly speaking, the App sets no cookies of its own. It uses your browser’s local storage instead, which serves a similar purpose and is covered by the same rules, so we describe it here for completeness.
These are essential for the App to function and cannot be switched off.
Subscribing takes you to a payment page hosted by Stripe on Stripe’s own domain. Any cookies set there are Stripe’s, placed on Stripe’s site rather than ours, and are used for fraud prevention, security and payment processing. They are governed by Stripe’s own Cookie Policy at stripe.com/cookies-policy/legal. When you return to the App, none of them are set on our domain.
The App loads its typefaces from Google Fonts and its core software library from unpkg.com. These set no cookies, but your browser must contact them to fetch the files, which necessarily reveals your IP address to those services. This is described in section 7 of our Privacy Policy.
You will not be asked to accept cookies when you open the App. That is not an oversight: under the ePrivacy Directive, consent is required only for storage that is not strictly necessary to deliver a service the user has requested. The only thing the App stores is the session that keeps you signed in, which is strictly necessary by definition — without it the App cannot show you your own account.
We do keep anonymous usage counts — how many times the App was opened, how many people went on to sign up. Consent rules apply to storing or reading information on your device, and those counts do neither: nothing is written to your browser, no cookie is set, no identifier is created, and the record that reaches us contains only an event name, a country code and a time. There is therefore nothing to ask your consent for.
We run no advertising and no cross-site tracking. Should either ever change, or should we ever need to store something on your device that is not strictly necessary, we will introduce a consent mechanism before doing so and update this policy first.
The Supabase authentication session token is retained in your browser until you sign out or clear your browser storage. Stripe’s cookies are governed by Stripe’s own retention policies.
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top of this document will reflect the most recent update.
